To : 7 July 2007 Respected Madam, With reference to the previous conversations, we would like to bring to your kind notice our experience with Dr. Rony Gerorge who joined our ward as a pediatrician.
Dr. Fathmath Ali Didi
The Director,
Medical Administration
IGMH.
Dr. Rony Geroge joined our department on 25th June 2007. We had a good opportunity to work with him and evaluate him.
We found him irresponsible, incompetent and on occasion lacking in basic knowledge to deal with pediatric patients. We feel that he may be doing harm to the pediatric patients he attend. During the period he stayed with us his practice required continuous monitoring.
May we also remind that he was brought to IGMH after having practiced in a hospital in one of the atolls for longer than a year. Therefore, we are concerned that he might be allowed to return to one of the islands where he would continue his malpractice unsupervised.
This is for your kind notice and necessary action.
Dr. Ismail Shafeeu
Registrar in Pediatrics
Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital

I'm so tired of being here
Suppressed by all my childish fears
And if you have to leave
I wish that you would just leave
'Cause your presence still lingers here
And it won't leave me alone
These wounds won't seem to heal
This pain is just too real
There's just too much that time cannot erase
[Chorus:]
When you cried I'd wipe away all of your tears
When you'd scream I'd fight away all of your fears
And I held your hand through all of these years
But you still have
All of me
You used to captivate me
By your resonating light
Now I'm bound by the life you left behind
Your face it haunts
My once pleasant dreams
Your voice it chased away
All the sanity in me
These wounds won't seem to heal
This pain is just too real
There's just too much that time cannot erase
[Chorus]
I've tried so hard to tell myself that you're gone
But though you're still with me
I've been alone all along
[Chorus]

Whoa
How can I just let you walk away
Just let you leave without a trace
When I stand here taking every breath with you
You're the only one who really knew me at all
How can you just walk away from me
When all I can do is watch you leave
'Cause we shared the laughter and the pain
And even shared the tears
You're the only one who really knew me at all
So take a look at me now
'Cause there's just an empty space
There's nothing left here to remind me
Just the memory of your face
So take a look at me now
When there's just an empty space
And you're comin' back to me is against all odds
And that's what I've got to face
I wish I could just make you turn around
Turn around to see me cry
There's so much I need to say to you
So many reasons why
You're the only one who really knew me at all
So take a look at me now
There's just an empty space
There's nothing left here to remind me
Just the memory of your face
So take a look at me now
'Cause there's just an empty space
But to wait for you is all I can do
And that's what I've got to face
Take a good look at me now
'Cause I'll be standing here
And you comin' back to me
Is against all odds
It's the chance I've gotta
Take
Hey yeah
Whoa
Take a look at me now
Mmmmh
Looking out on the morning rain
I used to feel uninspired
And when I knew I had to face another day
Lord it make me feel so tired
Before the day I met you life was so unkind
Your love was the key to my peace of mind
You make me feel
You make me feel
You make me feel like a natural woman
When my soul was in the lost and found
You came along to claim it
I didn't know just what was wrong with me
Till your kiss helped me name it
Now I'm no longer doubtful of what I'm living for
'Cause if I make you happy I don't need to do more
You make me feel
You make me feel like a natural woman
Oh baby watcha done to me
You make me feel so good inside
And I just want to be close to you
You make me feel so alive
And you make me feel
You make me feel
You make me feel like a natural woman
And you make me feel
You make me feel
You make me feel like a natural woman
And you make me feel
You make me feel
You make me feel like a natural woman

Sources in the tourism industry and associates of the tourism minister Dr. Mahmood Shaugee have been coming up with different version as to why his departure or in fact ejection from the cabinet is imminent. News has been spreading that he is to be relieved of his duty as a result of his involvement in several resort deals in which he was blessed with some hefty cutbacks. In fact some in the industry say that Shaugee is by far the most corrupt tourism minister ever. He has been very closely associated with several Sri Lankan companies who have set a strong foothold in the Maldives tourism sector since Shaugee became the head of tourism ministry. These firms include John Keells as well as Aitken Spence of Sri Lanka
It is obvious that when it comes to matters of mature democratic politics, the government of Dictator Gayyoom is not even in nursery school. It is highly doubtful that with the Demented One in power, they would ever be able to “promote” themselves to anything that could remotely be called mature politics. Schooling in basic human rights is something that is badly needed by many of those in power today, not least of all, those in charge of our education.
About 1,500 teachers in the Maldives have began an indefinite strike after salary rises promised by the government failed to materialise. The capital, Male, has been worst affected, with nearly half of all teachers on strike and many schools sending students home early. The strike has hit all areas of a country made up of hundreds of islands
The Government has recently announced plans to develop ten artificial islands by reclaiming natural lagoons of inhabited islands of the Maldives to increase development opportunities under the National Population Consolidation Strategy and Programme.
South African writer Heidi Holland is one of the last non-Zimbabwean journalists to have interviewed Robert Mugabe. She spent two hours with him last December after pursuing the Zimbabwean president for months. This is her description of that encounter.
The one-day strike by the teachers of Maldives has brought two fundamental issues to the limelight. Firstly, that in the face of the rising costs no one can sustain a decent living at a mere Rf4000. Even with added bonuses, it is impossible to make ends meet, especially in Male’ where a tiny room costs more than Rf 6000 to rent. Add on to that the living expense of feeding a family of four, clothing, education for two children, medical costs and paying of the utility bills and you are well into the red before half the month is over. Even the few teachers who are fortunate enough to live in their family homes, it is still a struggle to meet their daily expenses with the salaries they currently draw.
Schools were in “chaos” on Tuesday, according to the education ministry, amid a teachers’ strikes which saw up to 70 per cent of teachers in the capital, Mal, fail to turn up to work in the afternoon. But the teachers’ association has now suspended the strike, saying they will allow government one month to specify a timeframe for pay rises.
Teachers have agreed to give the government 30 days to resolve the issue and they have called off the strike and will begin reporting to duty from tomorrow onwards. This, teachers say is a success for them. Let us wait and see what the government comes up with
wow you have a bit of a spam problem don't you? might want to enable that captcha thing. It'll at least deter these guys a bit.
I am new to this site and I am really happy to see that people here are aware of their rights and are up against to any malpractice happening in the country.
Before I proceed any further, I would to clarify this point that I am not against any nationality, race or religion. I am here just as many of you to have my say on what I think.
I feel ashamed in saying that most of the people have over-rated Maldivian doctors. I don't want to take names here, but surely I would like to comment on Dr. Ismail as I am extremely shocked by seeing his complaint to Dr. Fatima Didi about malpractice of some doctor. Believe me If I open my mouth, I would rip Dr. Ismail credibility in shreds. I even doubt that he is certified doctor let alone Paediatrician. And reporting a matter to a administrator like Dr. Fatima Didi who is a non-practicing doctor, probably did her bachelors in medicine when I was a child and gave up practicing and on top of it she does not even hold any degree in Management or administartion and acting as medical administrator of a big hospital like IGMH.
I have endless things to share with you people (and yes with proofs) but I know my future comments will be blocked by the admin of this site just because I would talk about the ground realities and things going around here (Including by Maldivians). I will share most of the things here if I this comment got clearance from the admin.
u r just an old lady who gossips
Allah forbids gossip and even compares it to eating your dead brother's flesh.(Surat al-Hujurat, 49:12) In spite of this, when a group of people come together, they gossip about others.
